Vincent C. Traynelis, MD, received his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, where he also completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in neurosurgery.  Following residency, Dr. Traynelis was a member of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Iowa for 20 years, rising to the rank of Professor.  Read more ...

Stephanus Viljoen is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at The Ohio State University. His practice focuses on the treatment of adult spinal deformity, and complex reconstructive spine surgery.  He graduated from medical school from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed an internship and neurosurgical residency at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Viljoen completed a fellowship in adult spinal deformity from Northwestern University in Chicago Illinois before joining as faculty at The Ohio State University. His research interests include spinal biomechanics, and device development.  He has three US Patents pending, and has authored over twenty-five peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Imtiaz graduated from the prestigious Dow University of Health Sciences (formerly, Dow Medical College) Karachi, Pakistan in the year 1998.
He then moved to the US for post-graduate training and became board certified and later on a fellow in Neurophysiology (Intra-operative) in the USA. He has been one of the youngest to be awarded fellow nomination amongst the only 53 fellows so-far. He has rich training and work experience from various top notch US university hospitals including Yale University Hospitals CT and Albert Einstein University Hospitals NYC, USA. Read more ...

Patrick McKenna is a fellowship-trained Consultant Spinal Surgeon. He consults at Circle Hospital in Reading, and The London Spine Clinic in Harley Street. Surgery is carried out at Circle Hospital and The London Clinic. Injections can be administered at the Forbury Clinic in Reading.

He qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1993 and rotated through hospitals in London during his Basic Surgical Training. He completed his Specialist Registrar training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the Wessex Rotation from 1999 to 2005. As part of that training, he spent a year at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham as a Spinal Fellow. Mike was appointed as a Consultant Spine Surgeon at The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, United Kingdom in 2007. Mike has a wide practice in spine surgery undertaking complex spine procedures in all areas of the spine with varied pathological conditions including paediatric and adult spine deformity. His unit runs the popular international meetings Dilemmas in Deformity and The Sporting Spine.

Mike has been an elected member of the executive council of the British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS) since 2012. He has developed the British Spine Registry which has become a national tool for collecting patient outcome measures in the United Kingdom and boasts 100,000 patients contributing to it. Read more ...
